Breathwork
Experience Your Breath As Love In Motion“There is one way of breathing that is shameful and constricted. Then there’s another way; a breath of love that takes you all the way to infinity.” — Rumi
Benefits
Research shows that lung capacity — more than genetics, diet, or even exercise — is one of the strongest indicators of lifespan. Breathwork helps expand and strengthen this capacity, making it a powerful tool for long-term health and vitality.
Many people experience better sleep, sharper focus, improved energy levels, and enhanced creativity, making it a powerful tool for peak performance. On a deeper level, the practice can help clear emotional blocks, increase self-awareness, and foster a profound sense of well-being and inner clarity.

What Is Breathwork?
The way we breathe has a direct effect on our nervous system. By consciously changing our breath, we can influence heart rate, stress hormones, and even the way our brain processes emotions. This makes the breath a powerful tool for regulating stress, building resilience, and creating a greater sense of calm and clarity in daily life.
Breathwork is the practice of using intentional breathing techniques to support physical, mental, and emotional well-being. At its foundation is functional breathing — learning to breathe in healthy, efficient patterns that improve oxygen flow, calm the nervous system, and support everyday health. More dynamic practices such as Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) use a continuous, rhythmic breathing pattern to go deeper. It helps release stored tension, process emotions, and expand resilience, leaving you with more energy, clarity, and balance.
Qualifications & Experience
I began my breathwork journey in 2018 when I took Sadhguru’s Inner Engineering Programme and have had a pranayama practice ever since. I was certified as a Breath Coach with YogaBody® in 2020, and recently trained with Seven Directions Breathwork®, completing a 12-month Conscious Connected Breathwork Facilitator training and attending an advanced training to gain Practitioner status. I am a certified and insured trauma-informed Breathwork Practitioner offering one-to-one and group functional and conscious connected breathwork sessions in Dorset, London, Somerset and online.
How It Works
Functional Breathwork
Functional breathing is a science-backed, evidence-based approach to healthier breathing. At its core, it means breathing primarily through the nose, using the diaphragm, and maintaining an efficient rhythm. Research shows that nasal breathing filters and humidifies the air, balances oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, and supports optimal nervous system function.
Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB)
CCB is a sacred dance with the breath — a continuous rhythm that awakens the body, clears stagnant energy, and opens the heart. As the breath intensifies, it stirs what lies beneath the surface, dissolving layers of tension and unlocking pathways to release and transformation. Each inhale becomes an invitation to expand; each exhale, a soft surrender. In this practice, the breath is the bridge — carrying you beyond the chatter of the mind into deeper realms of clarity, presence, and inner wisdom. Many experience it as a journey: activating, cleansing, and ultimately deeply renewing — a return to wholeness.

Wisdom From Breathwork Teachers
“It is quite a striking example of evolutionary balance and beauty that the trees around us that give off oxygen and the trees in our lungs that absorb it share a similar structure.” — Patrick McKeown
“To breathe is to absorb ourselves in what surrounds us, to take in little bits of life, understand them, and give pieces of ourselves back out. Respiration is, at its core, reciprocation.” — James Nestor
“Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness, which unites your body to your thoughts. Whenever your mind becomes scattered, use your breath as the means to take hold of your mind again.” – Thich Nhat Hanh
