Expansive workshops for body, mind and spirit

A holistic approach that honours the interconnectedness of these three aspects of human existence to bring harmony and joy for whole-being aliveness

What is sound therapy?

The use of sound as an alternative therapy is a holistic approach to well-being. In an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) world, our biological and energy systems are under attack. Mounting pressure to meet the demands of life and work can lead to chronic stress, feelings of worry and overwhelm, depression and unhealthy coping habits that can manifest as physical ailments in the body. Sound therapy is a preventative self-management tool for relaxation and restoration of the mind-body-spirit connection, leading to a sense of well-being and a healthier lifestyle.

How does it work?

Several proven principles in physics theory explain how sound therapy works. A fundamental principle is that everything in the universe is vibrating. Sound is essentially vibration or energy in motion. Another principle is that energy can not be created or destroyed, it can only be transformed. Since our bodies are made up of more than 70% water, energy as sound travels through our system with great efficiency and as the cells in our biological system are also vibrating they entrain with the sound frequencies. This can results in realignment on an energetic and cellular level. Sound frequencies of gongs can also lower the brain wave frequency to alpha and theta brainwaves states that have been associated with increased focus, clarity and inspiration.

How long are the sessions?

The length of the session depends on what event you are attending – whether it be a one-to-one treatment, a group sound ceremony, a workshop or a retreat, the experiences offered are holistic and ceremonial. You enter a deeply safe and sacred space where you can simply relax and enjoy the sound journey, and go deeper into exploring your life or work situation and/or challenge through compassionate inquiry and sound. The bi-monthly group gong bath sessions are 75-90 minutes. You are invited to relax as you are guided in a grounding contemplation, which has a central theme, often inspired by the natural world, or archetypal themes from our shared human experience. This serves to ground you and gives a focal point for the sound journey. Afterwards, there’s an opportunity to share tea and experiences with others, so that you leave feeling grounded and nurtured.

Code of Ethics

I adhere to a professional code of conduct and code of ethics, the gold standard in coaching and natural energy medicine. I am an ACC-level accredited member of the International Coach Federation (ICF)), a member of the Colleague of Sound Healing and a member of The Shamanic Healer Circle. Being an active member of these Communities of Practice offers opportunities for continuous professional development through self-reflection and supervision, which ensures the highest standard of excellence in my offerings. The principles I am passionate about are humility, integrity and service to others, which are integral to my work and values. These are essential for cultivating a home for transformational experiences.
